Power Suit

Black suit with tie waist: Zara (Similar, Also love this), Black beaded top: Ralph Lauren (On TheRealReal, Also love this one), Gold sandals: Caparros, Gold clutch: Vintage

I don't often wear suits, but when I do, I want to make sure I look stylish, yet feminine. When I incorporate menswear into my look, I always feel the rest of my outfit has to be extra feminine to balance it all out. I use the following guidelines:
Make sure the suit fits impeccably. If it doesn't, I have it tailored. Nothing worse than a sloppy suit.
Choose a suit made of a material that hangs well. Don't get a suit made of shiny, stretchy polyester! It will look cheap.
Unless I am going to a funeral, I add some color or texture with my accessories. Here, I am wearing a pretty beaded top under my blazer and added some color with gold sandals, clutch and jewelry.
A well tailored, quality suit with feminine accents is a must in every closet.
